All water heater tanks eventually fail. The problem is, you never know when until it's too late. A leaking water heater can do a lot of damage to your home. Even a small, slow leak can soak into the sub flooring and cause the wood to decay. Leaking water may also seep into carpeting, create mildew and permanently stain your walls.
Water Heaters are one of the single most damaging appliances in
the home because after years of use they often spring leaks. If
you are away, leaks and water damage can go undetected for hours
or even days.
FloodStop II NPT34 automatically shuts off the water supply to
the Water Heater and sounds an alarm when a leak is detected.
Each kit includes one motorized ball valve with 3/4 " NPT
threaded fittings, a control unit, a water/leak sensor and an
AC power adapter.
Features:
- Motorized Ball Valve.
- Controller has Battery Port for 4 C size batteries, which will serve as the Primary Power Source if a nearby electrical outlet is not available. When using the AC wall adaptor/transformer the same batteries serve as a backup power source if an electrical power interruption/outage takes place.
- Controller has Outputs for connection to Alarm or Home Automation system if desired…. to automatically alert the property owner if the FloodStop was activated.
